Pastor Mel Harp serves Goreville United Methodist Church with a heart for helping people grow in faith, find healing, and discover their God-given purpose. Her ministry focuses on making the Bible understandable, practical, and encouraging for everyday life. Mel holds a Master of Divinity in Christian Discipleship from Regent University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Theological Studies at Columbia International University. She is passionate about spiritual care, prayer, and creating a welcoming church family where everyone can feel at home. In addition to pastoral ministry, Mel is a musician, writer, and speaker who enjoys using creativity to share the hope of the gospel. A versatile pianist and composer whose expansive career exemplifies excellence in performance, composition, production, education, and ministry, Dr. Keith Javors has been consistently hailed for his lyrical touch at the piano, visionary approach to production and composition, and prowess as a man award-winning teacher and bandleader.  His recordings have garnered critical acclaim for their blend of sophistication and soul by publications such as the Chicago Tribune, DownBeat, and Jazz Times. A protégé of Bunky Green and collaborator with legends such as Tom Harrell, Chris Potter, and Bela Fleck and the Flectones, Javors has toured the globe and built a body of work that bridges genres and generations.
